Our History

Davoli’s Catering Inc. was started in the basement by Fred and Antionette Davoli in Pittsburgh, PA. in 1970, and quickly grew into one of the leading corporate and wedding caterers in Pittsburgh. In 1982, along with Fred’s dad and brother, Fred S. Davoli and Robert J. Davoli respectively, Davoli’s Catering Inc. bought Harty’s Banquet facility in Latrobe, PA. It was the largest independent banquet facility in Western Pennsylvania, and became the most popular wedding reception facility in the Tri-State area.

In addition to Davoli’s Banquet facility, there were several satellite facilities managed by the family. At the time, it was not unusual for Davoli’s Catering Inc. to serve 15 or more weddings in a single weekend. Fred Sr. has always had a passion for weddings, and has catered more than 5,000 weddings over his forty-five year career.
